Wedding Policies

  • Wedding/Event Facility Usage Fee: 10-25 people: $550 | 25-50 people: $675
    This fee includes rental of the Wishmaker House for 4 hours on the day of your event. The management of the Wishmaker House will determine what time an event starts and ends on a case by case basis.  The fee also includes the use of and set up of tables and chairs, napkins, glassware, dinnerware, and silverware.
  • Events starting after 3:30 pm require rental of all bed and breakfast rooms.
  • A gift table and wedding book table will also be provided.
  • The guest is responsible for the set up and cleanup of approved decorations, such as flowers, etc. The Wishmaker House staff will be responsible for the cleanup of items owned by the bed and breakfast.
  • Children will be permitted to attend events on a case by case basis, with approval from a Wishmaker House representative. In general, children will not be permitted to attend evetns where alcohol is being served.
  • Wedding/Event guests may arrive 30 minutes before the wedding ceremony. Supervised children are welcome to attend the wedding.
  • A 50% non- refundable deposit is required at the time of the event reservation. A final guest count is due 14 days prior to the wedding. The final payment is due 14 days prior to the event.
  • It is your responsibility to obtain an officiate and valid marriage license issued by the State of Ohio. The license may be obtained from any county courthouse in Ohio.
  • The Wishmaker House remains locked at all times. The front door will be unlocked 30 minutes prior to your event for guests to arrive.
  • For the safety and privacy of our overnight guests, only registered guests are allowed on the 2nd and 3rd floors.
  • The Wishmaker House is a non-smoking facility.This is in accordance with Ohio state law. It is your responsibility to convey the smoking policy to your guests.
  • Due to health department guidelines, wedding cakes and all other food items must be provided by the Wishmaker House or by a health department approved caterer. We will provide you with a list of approved vendors.
  • Local sales tax and an 18% service charge will be added to your bill.
  • A damage deposit of $250 is also required at the time of reservation. This deposit will be refunded within one week of the event, pending compliance with all Wishmaker House policies.  The contract holder is responsible for any and all damage incurred to the facility during his/her event above $250.00.
  • In accordance with state law, any alcoholic beverages required for your event/ wedding must be purchased from the Wishmaker House. Outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted anywhere on the property including guest rooms.
  •  If alcohol is being served at your event/ wedding, the Wishmaker House staff reserves the right to deny service to any individual who appears to be intoxicated or is disturbing other guests.
  • If guest rooms are being rented, any additional breakfast guests will be accommodated with prior notice. A fee of $10.00 per additional guest will apply.
