Willum Cubbert owes his life, literally,to a man he has never met-Rick Steadman, who saved him while they were soldiers in Vietnam.  Willum is delighted when Rick shows up at his apartment during his birthday party. But the evening goes hilariously wrong when Rick discovers that Willum is a tactless, clueless oaf who sets off one hilarious incident after another.
